A hair dresser, a pharmacist, and a planner walk into a bar

No, this is not the beginning of a joke. The hairdresser, the pharmacist, and the planner are going to celebrate their job satisfaction.

According to U.S. News and World Report's Best Careers of 2008, Urban Planner makes the top 31. The careers were selected based on job satisfaction, required training, and job market outlook. Check out where other careers stack up here.

Conversely, Architect was rated as one of the most overrated jobs (although, interestingly, the same mag listed it as a Best Career a year ago). Architects, planners, what do you think?

We made the first page!


This past Friday (May 30th, 2008) the Seattle Post-Intelligencer ran an article about the Seattle South Downtown rezone plan. And there we were, uncredited but big, with one of our graphics for the city staff ran plan.
